Diehlstadt Archeological Sites
Though not open to the public, two archeological studies are taking place near Diehlstadt to study the prehistoric Mississippian culture dating back to 1499-1000 AD. The properties are privately owned and are restricted.

Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo
The Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo, held annually in August, is the biggest rodeo in southeast Missouri. The Sikeston Missouri Pacific Railroad Depot is on the National Register of Historic Places. It was built in 1916 next to the busiest tracks in southeast Missouri and closed in 1986.
